New Radiohead Album This Weekend

Radiohead announced their new album, King of Limbs, will go on sale this weekend. Once again, they're selling it in a somewhat unconventional way. Rather than having fans pay what they want, as they did for In Rainbows, people who preorder for $48 or $53 will get a package including a CD, two vinyls, "Many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together," and a digital download. Or you can just download it for $9 on February 19

WHIRLWIND HEAT

WHIRLWIND HEAT - SLUGGER

KAREN ELSON

KAREN ELSON

Until now, the British-born Elson has been better known as a model, the face of ad campaigns for, among others, Armani, Prada, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium. With her pale white skin and shocking red hair, she seems an almost otherworldly presence on any given glossy page. While she assiduously worked as the face of various brands, she conducted an altogether different life behind the scenes as a singer and songwriter, honing what has proven to be her considerable skills. Singed on her husband Jack Whites Third Man Record she has given out her debut album The Ghost Who Walks.

THE BLACK BELLS

THE BLACK BELLS

Discovered by Jack White and brought to Third Man Studios for their first recordings, “What Can I Do” and “Lies” are the band’s inaugural release and showcase their unique ability to pay homage to their roots while also pushing their music into new territories. There’s a lot of anticipation around this release and it definitely delivers.

THE GRAND

THE GRAND

A band that maybe havent got as much press as they deserve is the norwegian  band The Grand. This bluesy psychedelic "cahoona" rock band is definitely worth checking out. This is rock for those who likes groovy 70s riffs, endless psychedelic trips, blues and guitar mastrubation.

The White Stripes breakup

The White Stripes Call It Quits

According to Stereogum,“Jack and Meg explain that the breakup is “not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health. It is for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.” Jack will continue releasing rare White Stripes  recordings via Third Mans subscription club.”
Its been an amazing journey from "Lets Shake Hands" through "Dead Leaves And Dirty Ground", to "Seven Nation Army" and "Blue Orchid". This is music history at its most valuable!
